Community Implementation Specialists are experienced PCIT clinicians who work in community-based behavioral health organizations across Pennsylvania. They are each have expertise in program development and implementation as well as community outreach and engagement. Gwen Burkholder, LCSW, CAADC
Gwen joined the PCIT training and implementation team at the Early Childhood Innovations Center, LLC (ECIC) in June 2018. Gwen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Level 1 Trainer with PCIT International. Prior to joining the ECIC, Gwen was most recently leading a department of ten PCIT therapists providing PCIT in four outpatient therapy locations.
With more than twenty years of professional experience with providing and supervising behavioral health services in varied levels of care, including BHRS services, outpatient drug and alcohol and mental health therapy, residential care, inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation and inpatient mental health treatment, Gwen is passionate about developing new services and therapies that work to bring about positive change for individuals, children and families. Gwen enjoys hiking, biking, time at the beach and traveling with her family in her free time.
Sharon Campbell, M.Ed., NCC, LPC
Sharon has over 30 years of direct experience working with children and families as well as in a supervisory role in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, community mental health centers, and currently at a multidisciplinary children’s center. Sharon completed her studies at the University of Pittsburgh and is a licensed professional counselor. She is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and is a participating member of several other professional groups.
Sharon was trained in using PCIT in 2013/2014 and has been providing care to children and their families since, resulting in successful behavioral changes as well as relationship enhancement. She enjoys being outdoors, taking walks, meeting friends, or learning about topics in history, especially when those topics are related to Pittsburgh history.
Kristine Kershner, MS, LPC
Kristine is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified PCIT clinician. She has worked as a clinician with children in various settings for 30 years and began her journey as a PCIT clinician in 2014. Kristine has been the director of an outpatient clinic, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) programs, school based behavioral health programs as well as a residential treatment program. Her clinical interests include both PCIT and work with trauma.
When not involved in clinical work, Kristine can be found hiking, biking, playing with puppies, and enjoying the front porch swing with a good book.
Priscilla Riley, MS, LPC
Priscilla is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a PCIT International Certified Level I Trainer. She has been employed at Children’s Service Center of Wyoming Valley, Inc. for 12 years where she is the PCIT and Intensive Family Coaching (IFC) Coordinator. Priscilla began her love for PCIT in 2010 when she was trained by Amy Herschell (and the team). Before that, she was Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program, Crisis Director and a Mobile Therapist.
Priscilla is mother to three daughters and one unruly grandson who is on the receiving end of plenty of Labeled Praise.
Tracey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist. She has been employed at Sarah Reed Children’s Center in Erie, Pennsylvania for 22 years and currently serves as Supervisor of Therapy & Case Management Services in the Partial Hospitalization Program. Tracey has been involved in expanding PCIT services at Sarah Reed since 2013 and serves as faculty for the APA-accredited doctoral psychology internship facilitating the PCIT seminar.
In 2018 Tracey happily accepted a position as Community Implementation Specialist with The Early Childhood Innovations Center, LLC. Tracey is the proud mother of son, Cole, who recently enlisted in the United States Army. In addition to promoting PCIT and the benefits of labeled praise, Tracey enjoys walks with her dog and a boating on Lake Erie with her fiancé.
Tina is a PCIT Certified Therapist. She is currently employed by Bethanna Christian Services for Children and their Families. Tina has direct experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including advocacy, schools, outpatient clinics, and also serves as PriCARE Trainer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Tina received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from American University and received her Master’s degree in clinical social work from Temple University.
Tina’s love for PCIT began when she was trained by Amy Herschell (and the team). Tina is passionate about working with children and their families as a way to foster hope and sustainable change with the use of positive parenting skills. That passion continues to evolve serving as a Community Implementation Specialist with The Early Childhood Innovations Center, LLC and as a PCIT therapist daily. After a long day spent behind the one way mirror, Tina can be found trying out a local eatery or catching up on her favorite crime show which she gives her undivided attention.
Tiffany L. Young, MS, LPC
Tiffany is a licensed professional counselor in the state of PA and a PCIT champion! By day, Tiffany is the Assistant Director in the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) program at Silver Springs-Martin Luther School where she supervises therapists in a variety of evidence-based practices. Additionally, Tiffany also supervises all PCIT clinicians in Silver Spring’s outpatient program and provides in-house training.
By night, Tiffany is seeing clients, building her private practice and, of course, serving as a Community Implementation Specialist with The Early Childhood Innovations Center, LLC. Tiffany received her PCIT training in 2014 and is working toward her certification and Level 1 trainer certification. In between behavior description and labeled praises, Tiffany can be found hanging out with her fiancé and adorable blue pit bull Rosco.
